A Bistro is something different to each individual. When you are in one, you feel at home. There has always been something special about the romantic, simplistic and comforting feeling that I remember being young and on the east coast.
Every time you went you felt like you had a front row seat for a show. From the waitstaff getting their sections flooded and flying around serving everyone, the bartenders slinging drinks as fast as they can in a packed old stone bar and finally to the swinging doors of the kitchen where you see the chef screaming out over the chaos of it all directing his small brigade of intensely overworked station chefs as to what their next orders were…. It was like a television show. You just had to notice it.
When I designed the StoneFire Bistro every detail I remember was implemented into the design, from the warm double-sided fireplace to the wrought iron and stone. My vision was to bring this feeling of energy and romance to Livingston County with elegant and delicious cuisine.
Our own Chef Eirik is the chef on the other side of the swinging doors calling out the orders after a day of planning, preparing and executing his hand crafted menus with locally procured ingredients. We believe in keeping Michigan strong so we always support our local businesses. We feature a wide range of cuisine from our European roots combined with our hometown America style to create delicious stone fired pizza, the freshest seafood and the highest quality meals around.
